Performance DC CDI Box, DC-Fired Ignition Module, Replacement CDI for GY6 Four-Stroke Scooters and Mopeds, Check That Your Scooter Uses a DC CDI Before Ordering
This is a DC-fired CDI box for scooters and mopeds with a GY6 four-stroke engine. The CDI controls when the spark plug fires, so a failing one can cause no spark, hard starting, or the engine cutting out. A DC CDI is powered through the scooter’s battery circuit. An AC CDI is powered by the stator. Make sure your scooter uses a DC CDI before ordering.
Need to know:
- DC and AC CDIs are not interchangeable. Check your original CDI before ordering.
- Match the plug shape and pin layout to your original CDI (pin count for this unit not yet confirmed).
- Compare your original unit with the photos before ordering.
- Disconnect the battery before removing or installing the CDI.
